淩耀電子有限公司 (the operator of CIRCUS Pi, hereinafter “the Company”, “we” or “us”) values your personal data and privacy. This policy explains how we collect, process and use your personal data and provides the notice required by the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan (R.O.C.) (the “PDPA”). It consists of two parts: the Personal Data Protection Notice and the Privacy Statement.

1. Purposes of collection and categories of personal data

When you contact us through the “Contact us” form on this website, by email or via LINE, we collect the following data:

  • The name of your school or organisation, contact person’s name, email address and telephone number (optional)
  • The type of enquiry you select, the school stage you teach, the kits you plan to use, and anything you choose to tell us in the additional information field, such as the planned course start date, class size and existing equipment

We use this data to:

  • Respond to your enquiries about our products, solutions and development services, and provide quotations
  • Provide pre-sales and after-sales customer service and technical support
  • Send you information about our products and services, with your consent
  • Compile internal statistics that do not identify individuals, to improve our website and services

2. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal data to third parties. We share it only where necessary for the purposes above, with service providers that process data on our behalf (for example, website hosting and email services), and we require them to use it only within the scope of our instructions and to protect it properly. Form submissions are sent from this website to our customer service mailbox and are stored in the website’s administration system.

3. Use without consent

In accordance with the PDPA, we may use or disclose your personal data without your consent in any of the following circumstances:

  • Where expressly required by law
  • Where necessary to promote the public interest
  • To prevent harm to your life, body, freedom or property
  • To prevent material harm to the rights and interests of others

4. Data security and management

All traffic to and from this website is encrypted with HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, damage, loss or disclosure.

Under Article 3 of the PDPA, you may exercise the following rights regarding the personal data we hold about you:

  • Request a copy of your data
  • Request that your data be supplemented or corrected
  • Request that we stop collecting, processing or using your data
  • Request that your data be deleted

Please contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will handle your request in accordance with the law after verifying your identity.

6. If you choose not to provide personal data

Providing personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the required information (school or organisation, contact person and email address; for requests for lesson plans, also the school stage you teach and the kits you plan to use), we will not be able to respond to your enquiry or provide a quotation.

7. Retention period and location

  • Period: from the date of collection until the purpose of collection no longer exists, you ask us to stop using or to delete your data, or the retention period required by law or contract expires, whichever applies.
  • Location: within the territory of Taiwan (R.O.C.) and the regions where the servers of our contracted service providers are located.

Privacy Statement

1. Use of cookies

This website itself does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and no website analytics tools are installed. Web fonts are provided by Google Fonts, and the YouTube videos embedded in kit pages and articles are provided by YouTube. These services may set cookies or collect connection information under their own privacy policies. You can manage or refuse cookies in your browser settings.

2. Links to external websites

This website contains links to external services such as our LINE official account (@icshop). Once you follow a link to an external website, that website’s own privacy policy applies to its collection and use of personal data, which is not covered by this policy.

3. Other matters

  • We do not collect special categories of personal data, such as medical, genetic or criminal records, through this website. Please do not include such information in your enquiry.
  • We may revise this policy when necessary. Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated date.
  • This policy is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.). The Taiwan Kaohsiung District Court shall be the court of first instance for any dispute.
